Programme Analyst

About the role

The Programme Analyst supports UNDP’s commitment to accountable, risk‑informed, and results‑oriented programme delivery in Myanmar. Reporting to the Deputy Resident Representative, the role works closely with programme teams, project units and field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Review programme and project designs to ensure robust theories of change, results frameworks and alignment of inputs, outputs, outcomes and indicators.
• Provide independent quality‑assurance inputs to integrated work plans, project documents, revisions and results reporting.
• Assess alignment of interventions with UNDP strategic priorities, country needs and donor requirements.
• Identify, track and mitigate programme and project‑level risks, flagging emerging issues to senior management.
• Ensure gender equality and women’s empowerment commitments are integrated into design, budgets and safeguards.

Required profile

• Experience in programme assurance, quality control and risk‑informed oversight within development or humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership on community governance and economic recovery priorities.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills for risk analysis, results measurement and strategic positioning.
• Knowledge of UNDP Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and Social and Environmental Standards.
